Friends, Romans, Countrymen – All unrighteousness | iyasostuff.com

Romans 1

Romans 1: 28-31 Because they chose not to accept God’s truth, God let them live in the filth they wanted to live in, he let them think what they wanted to think. And when I choose not to accept God’s truth, he lets me live with the consequences, He is gracious, but he is not forceful.

When filled with our own way, we desire premarital sex, to be mean and nasty, we are full of anger, full of jealousy and envy, always arguing, always gossiping, always proud, selfish, always thinking about ourselves, having no mercy for others, having no respect for our parents, always thinking of ways to invent evil things to destroy others (porn!!!), we don’t keep our promises, we don’t understand God’s word and we are never satisfied.

Oh my word! Thank God for Jesus!

Romans 1

Romans 1: 26-27 Because they chose to worship nature instead of God, because they decided they would do whatever they wanted to do with their bodies, God gave them up to vile affections, the women wanted women, and the men wanted men, which was unnatural.

Friends, Romans,Countrymen – gave them up | iyasostuff.com

Romans 1

Romans 1: 24 God gave them up to do what they wanted – they followed their hearts and dishonored their bodies.

How sad. Everything I do, is based on how I think. So why don’t I trust God sometimes? I sometimes wonder how amazing our bodies would have been if we had trusted God with them…if we had trusted God for money instead of working 15 jobs just to pay the bills, if we had trusted God for a husband instead of accepting the first thing that came around.

Romans 1

(And we’re back!)

Romans 1:23 Tells us that we looked at the awesomeness of God’s creation and chose to worship these things instead of worshiping God. We looked at nature at how beautiful and serene it is, we looked at the different animals at how wise they can be and how peaceful yet powerful they can be. We thought about their innocent bloodshed for us, for food, for clothing, for whatever, and we began to think that nature was god.

So I had to ask myself, if I could pick between a peaceful trip to the most exotic place or a trip to a Bible conference which would I pick?

Do I care more about saving the planet, than I care about saving children (created in God’s image)?

We also had the opportunity to listen to the phenomenal Lisa Harper!

She talked about her life experiences, and how the Bible is a love story and the psalms are the love songs on God’s ipod.

Ms. Nicole Johnson spoke about Anger and how it’s okay to be angry as long as we deal with it. Christ came to give us abundant life, let’s start living it!

WOF Sheila Walsh | iyasostuff.com

The Women of Faith Conference began with Sheila Walsh sharing the whole notion of Peace, and why it was important for us to focus on the Peace that God gives us.

She used the woman with the issue of blood to emphasize how important it was for us to follow and seek God.

Sooo….how long have YOU been bleeding?
