I make money doing presentations. Yes I have an off-line job, and no it’s not “professional presentation speaker.” Basically whether it is for trainings or for presentations to clients or potential clients, I need my computer to help me earn my bread and butter.

There was a time I would go to make presentations, and I did my best not to be embarassed by my laptop. The laptop case was cracking, the laptop charger was splitting, and to make matters worse the keyboard stopped working, so I had to buy an external keyboard.

For weeks I contemplated how I would get a new laptop, and how I would move the budget around to accomplish that. When I told my husband about it, he empathized with me came up with suggestions, and was generally supportive.

Long story short, I’m currently writing this blog on my new laptop. How did I get it? As soon as my husband became aware, he shifted the budget around, sacrificed a few things, and got it for me… It made me think of that verse:

1 John 5:14-15King James Version (KJV)

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Sometimes when I have thoughts, ideas, desires, I try to focus on this verse. I can be confident that God always hears me. And If I am confident that God hears me, then I can be confident that my petitions have been granted.

What are you worried about today? What are you praying for and desiring? It’s time to let go and realize that you can rest in this knowledge, and you can have this confidence.
